As the mother of a 7 year old autistic son, your book really was a joy to read and completely touched my heart. The lengths you and your ex wife, current wife, and other family members including some Disney employees with HUGE hearts for your son is incredibly inspirational! Thank you for sharing your beautiful story..a must read..I couldn't put it down! What incredible parents and a very loved son you have..BEAUTIFUL!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your book. There was so much insight into Ben and your family. It is inspiring to know there are parents out there like you and Ben's Mom who will do whatever it takes to help their son. I wish I had known about Ben when I made previous visits to WDW .... I would have kept an eye out in Magic Kingdom. I wish you and your family all the best. May God bless. Marby

MAMOHSIN
A superbly narrated real-life story, narrated by a patient, sacrificing, and extremely considerate father who, together with his devoted ex-wife, equally passionate for the well being of their autistic son, deeply touched me.
They considered their only son as the gift of God even when they passed through extremely traumatic situations during his illness and provided all they could to transform their autistic son into a near normal youth. Hats off to
both the parents.

I got your book during the Kindle giveaway and read it in one day, because I couldn't put it down. I was alternately laughing & crying. I then went to my parents', grabbed Mom's Kindle & downloaded it for her. My mom retired from the school district in Las Vegas, NV after spending 20 years working with Severe Learning Disabled kids and the last 5 years with Autistic kids. Each & every one were her kids. She can tell you about each of them to this day.

A wonderful book, wonderful insight, truly devoted dedicated parents.

About Shmoolok

The word "shmoolok" is a mashup of the longtime computer handles for my wife and myself ("Shmooby" and "Lokheed", respectively).

I originally created this website to be a place for my family to connect, but it has since grown into something a little different.

As for me -- I am a father, a husband, a son, a software developer, and a writer. On any given day I am not sure how good I am at any of those particular things, but I do try my best.

Thank you for visiting my website.
