Another week, another pound. Yay, that's the way it is supposed to work: slow, methodical, sustainable progress. Not much to add here this week, except one other bit of trivia. It's finally starting to cool off here in Central Florida (not actually getting cold, just finally not being hot) and I wore pants for the first time in months the other day instead of my usual shorts. My 44 inch pants were a little droopy and I had to wear a belt. I have a drawer full of 42 inch pants just waiting for my, and i am seriously looking forward to wearing them over the winter. Ideally they will be starting to get droopy by the end of winter. Hooray for progress.

Yay! I made up this week for exactly how short I was last week. I am target to crack into the 270's by Christmas, which makes me very, very happy.
Someone asked me last week whether I had a specific end date in mind. The technical answer is I plan on running these blog posts for one full year. The visceral answer is that I want to walk into Travel Mart next August at the Bellagio and have all the hot marketing chicks coo over how great I look. So, you know, priorities.

This is not a good trend. Yeah, I still lost weight, and my overall average has me ahead of my stated goal, but let's call a spade a spade: I didn't sweat enough this week, not by a long shot. I never got out on my skates. I got out on my bike once. The fact that I still lost weight is more attributable to random happy coincidence than the result of any particular effort on my part. Time to get back to work and make this thing happen.

So, barely any positive here. On the upside, I've been on vacation for the last week and a half and have been eating out more often than usual and working out much less often than usual, and even so I didn't gain any weight. On the downside, in two weeks I am only down a half pound. Realistically, that half pound is really just the moving average catching up with me, because the raw numbers show that I have been hovering right around 290 for two weeks now.
So I'm still a little ahead overall from my plan, and I haven't gone backwards, but it's definitely time to kick things back into action again to keep the weight loss train rolling along.

I'm actually on vacation this week, down in Key West. No scale, so no idea where I stand weight-wise. Hopefully all the snorkeling and walking and such has kept me on pace. I guess I'll find out in a few days when I get back home...
